Desired donation categories and specific item requests are listed below. All donations to include those not listed below are greatly appreciated, as the list is not all inclusive. All donations will be accepted, however items will be quality screened and utilized in a manner deemed best appropriate for HUGS’ services.
Vintage Household Items for our Ready-2-Work Vintage Thrift Shop
Furniture, lamps, rugs, collectibles, dishes, vases, decorative accessories, pictures, jewelry (no clothes)
Electric rotating fans, Sewing Machine, Radio/CD player, Computers and Printers in good working condition, small TV with built in VCR
Copy paper, printer ink #61, pens, pencils, folders, notepads, and journal books.
City Bus Passes, Vehicles (to include buses and vans,) and bicycles.
Security and Safety
Flashlights, First Aid Kits, fire extinguishers, batteries (any size)
Floor cleaning liquids, paper towels, dish detergent, trash bags, disinfectant spray, air fresheners, toilet paper, toilet bowl cleaner, hand soap, swifter duster refills, rake, shovel, refuse bags
Child Care Supplies
Children’s books/DVDs, art supplies, wet wipes, baby powder/ointment, hand sanitizer, tissues
Supplies for the Homeless
Hygiene items (lotions, tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap), socks, watches, reading glasses, flashlights, batteries, tote bags, back packs, bottled water, raincoats, umbrellas, plastic tarps
Lawn mower, edging tools, leaf blower/vacuum, hedge trimmer, extension cords, and lawn refuse bags.
Art supplies (to include paints, construction paper, drawing paper, paint brushes, colored pencils, markers, paint canvas, chalk and scissors), sewing supplies, iron, ironing board. All types of craft/hobby supplies including yarn, glue sticks, glue guns, sand paper, etc. are needed for our weekly Creative Space Community Workshops.
