HUGS unveils new look for Annual Fundraiser: Introducing "Play it Forward" Casino Night and Auction on September 27th


SAVANNAH, GA (August 5, 2024) — Heads-Up Guidance Services (HUGS) will host its annual  fundraising event, formerly known as Boo Bash, now titled "Play it Forward", on Friday, September 27th, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Alee Shriners Temple located at 100 Eisenberg Dr, Savannah, GA 31406.


All proceeds from “Play it Forward” will benefit HUGS. HUGS is a local non-profit organization that provides affordable and accessible mental health counseling and addiction recovery services to children and adults. 


This fun-filled evening will feature catering by Catered Creations by Lavon, live music by Junkyard Angel, entertainment by Master of Ceremonies Renee LaSalle, casino games by Monte Carlo Productions, an open bar, silent auction, and big-ticket raffle prizes. This event is open to the public for people 21 years and over. Tickets are $100 each or 2 for $150, and must be purchased in advance.


“We hope that locals will rally around this event to not only support mental health but also to support HUGS’ devoted volunteer counselors who donate their time pro-bono to serve the Savannah community,” explained HUGS founder and CEO Andrea Mamalakis Epting. “Since HUGS does not work with third parties for funding, we are counting on event attendees to connect, enjoy, eat, and play!”
